Bethlehem, PA (May 4, 2015) - Christian music online pioneers JesusFreakHideout.com have announced their latest annual music awards event, the JFH Awards, with voting now open at www.JFHAwards.com.

In 2004, JesusFreakHideout.com launched their first-ever "Reader's Choice Awards," an awards event that allowed JFH readers across the globe to cast their vote for their favorite artists and album releases from the previous year. The JFH RCA's continued through 2013, with one planned for 2014, but due to many different contributing factors, the 2014 ballot never made it to the web. The JFH staff took this opportunity to consider restructuring the voting process.

For the JFH Awards, the Jesus Freak Hideout staff compiled an extensive ballot of artists and releases from 2014 and voted amongst themselves to narrow the overwhelmingly large lists to a concise ballot. And it's from these nominees that Christian music fans can vote from. But to be fair, if a voter feels strongly enough about voting for an artist that wasn't nominated, they can enter their own nominee in a write-in box and vote for them instead.

"We love our readers," adds longtime staff member Scott Fryberger. "Even if they don't always agree with us! Every year, we tell our readers what OUR favorite songs and albums of the previous year were, and we think it's also important to ask what their favorites were. The changes we made to our ballot will make it easier for readers to voice their opinions without having to filter through a horde of nominees in a seemingly endless number of categories."

While other Christian music awards lean heavily on what's charting and predominantly label artists, the Jesus Freak Hideout staff hope the JFH Awards can spotlight some of those, but especially others who often get overlooked in such awards ceremonies. About the "reboot" of the ballot with a new name, JFH Founder and Editor John DiBiase joked, "Hey, let's face it. There have been GOOD reboots. So we're aiming more for Casino Royale and Batman Begins here."

Voting is now open for the JFH Awards at JesusfreakHideout.com and www.JFHAwards.com!
